India’s Most Wanted Militant Zakir Musa Killed

Zakir Rashid Bhat alias Zakir Musa, touted as "India'smost wanted militant' was reportedly killed on Thursday evening in a gunfightwith security forces at Dadsara village in the Tral area of South Kashmir'sPulwama district.

According to reports, acting on a special intelligence,Army's 43 RR, Special Operations Group of J&K Police and CRPF cordoned offthe village and trapped Musa near his home.

The slain militant had come to visit his home.

A senior police officer informed the media that securityforces asked Musa to surrender, but he didn't oblige and eventually a gunfighttook place in which the militant leader was killed.

It may be mentioned here that Musa was a former commander ofHijbul Mujahideen. He joined the organisation in 2013 while he was pursuingengineering from Punjab.

Meanwhile, internet sevices in the state have been suspendedand educational institutions will also remain shut on Friday owing to apossible breach in the law and order situation of the state.
