BTS is getting ready to mark six years together and there’s definitely a lot to celebrate. In just a few years, BTS has become one of the world’s most famous boy bands by selling out stadiums, releasing chart-topping albums and building up an ARMY of loyal fans that scream at just the sound of any of their names. In less than a year, the band has managed to release three albums that have all hit the number 1 spot on the Billboard 200.

Known for their dancing, singing and rapping, the members of BTS are more than just triple threats. All of the members’ talents have made them more rich than you can imagine.

Though BTS was originally supposed to be a hip-hop group, the band has released music that fits several genres from K-pop to R&B. The band’s debut single album, 2 Kool 4 Skool, was released in 2013. Their first studio album, Dark & Wild, wasn’t released until 2014, but all the music that was put out before then helped the boys build their presence as musicians.

More than 5 years after their debut, they have definitely established their global presence. They’ve broken a ton of records, including a Guinness World Record for Twitter engagements and they also became the first Asian act to gain more than 5 billion streams on Spotify.

Music – writing it, producing it, performing it during worldwide tours –has definitely helped the boys achieve a stream of revenue that makes each member more than rich. But BTS has also branched out into other projects that add to their value.

In 2018, the mega-group released an 8-episode documentary on YouTube Premium. The documentary was based on behind-the-scenes footage from their Wings Tour. They also released a movie version of their documentary called Burn the Stage: The Movie in theaters in late 2018. According to Forbes, it’s opening weekend brought in $2.4 million.
