Contractual security employees working in the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) have staged an indefinite strike in Digboi Refinery, starting this morning.

The strike has created a chaotic situation and disrupted work in the refinery as the security employees have closed the main door preventing its employees from entering the premises.

According to reports, the employees resorted to protests following a security employee’s sudden exemption from his post in IOC’s Delhi Public School (DPS).

The IOC authorities had deployed its security forces as well as CRPF to control the situation, however, they failed to do so as the protestors were stern on their stance of continuing strike until the employee gets his job back.
