The schedule of IPL 2020 has been announced today. The much-awaited tournament will be held in UAE this year, and will kick-off on September 19.
The first match of the tournament will witness defending champions Mumbai Indians take on Chennai Super Kings. This will be played in Abu Dhabi.
In the next game slated to be held in Dubai, Delhi Capitals will play against face Kings XI Punjab on September 20.
While Dubai will host 24 games, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah will host 20 and 12 matches respectively.
However, BCCI is yet to announce the venues for the play-off and the final.
It must be noted that IPL 2020 will be hosted by UAE owing to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in India. It was also pushed to September from March for the same reason.
