In a recent update, the Jorhat administration on Wednesday has announced the extension of the ongoing lockdown under Jorhat municipality for an indefinite period.
The order states, all areas under Jorhat Municipal Board will undergo total lockdown from Thursday. Also, the sub-areas will follow the same protocol.
Sub- areas such as Cinnamara Tiniali, Lichubari Chariali, Rowriah Chariali, Ajanta Bypass, Malow Ali Bypass, Sarbaibandha Bypass, Borigaon Bypass, Kenduguri Bypass, JEC Campus, Gate and Garmur, Jail Road from AT Road and Sadar Tiniali via Lichubari to Jail Tiniali.
Retail shops are opened from noon (12 PM) to six in the evening and home delivery of meat, fish, vegetables, and drinking water is permitted. Wholesale grocery shops are opened from seven in the morning to noon.
