The Karimganj district administration on Saturday has announced new lockdown regulations in view of the escalating numbers of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.
Leaving aside the municipality area, lockdown has been imposed in all other areas.
Complete lockdown has been imposed in the areas of Fakir Bazaar, Bhanga Bazar, Nilaam Bazar, Kaliganj Bazaar, Asami Ganj, Patharkandi and Anipurat.
Lockdowns in new areas will be imposed every Saturday and Sunday.
This decision has been taken in the bid to contain the further spread of COVID-19. A total number of seven places especially crowded areas have been instructed for a complete lockdown.
