The Kaziranga National Park will be opened for tourists from today. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will officially reopen the park for 2019-20 season.
Kaziranga authorities have informed that the Jeep Safari in Kohora and Bagori will also be open for tourists but the elephant safari will be closed till further notice. The authorities also informed that the tourists will be able to visit till a restricted area as the pathways are not in good condition due to the bad weather.
DFO of the park, Rohini Ballav Saikia said that they will open the park for tourists as many tourists come to visit the park in this season. The park was scheduled to reopen on October 1, but it was postponed till today as the recent flood had destroyed all the roads along with watchtowers in the park.
