KMSS stages protest against price rise
The Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) has staged protests across the State against the price rise of essential commodities.
“The prices are skyrocketing for the past few days and the situation of the common man is very bad,” said a protester in Lakhimpur.
“The Government is responsible for the price hike of essential commodities. More such protests will follow if the government fails to control soaring prices of goods,” said a member of KMSS in Guwahati, while taking part in the protest at Chachal.
It may be mentioned here that prices of essential commodities like onions have been on the rise for the past few days. The retail price of onion in Guwahati is between Rs. 55 and Rs. 60 per kg.
