Noted artist Kandarpa Nath Sarma and renowned danseuse and actress Jharna Saikia will be conferred with Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha award, 2020.
The award will be conferred by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday in Dibrugarh as a part of the central celebrations of Rabha divas under the Directorate of Cultural Affairs with assistance from the Dibrugarh District Administration. The award will carry cash of Rs 2 lakh, a memento and an angabastra each.
Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Rameswar Teli, Cultural Affair Minister Naba Kumar Doley, Minister of Tea Tribes Welfare Minister Sanjay Kishan, CM Media Advisor Hrishikesh Goswami, among others will be present during the programme.
