Itanagar has been reported with another massive landslide in National Highway due to incessant rains that triggered in almost all parts of the Northeast.
Two injured persons have been rescued from the site while it has been suspected that one person is still trapped under the debris.
The communication of National Highway No 415 has been interrupted. However, rescue operation is on by NDRF, ITBP and CRPF with five numbers of excavators.
Many vehicles have also been damaged in the landslide and the administration suspect that more landslides might take place due to continuous rainfall.
It is to be mentioned that since last one week there have been several dwelling houses that have been completely or partially damaged due to landslide and flash floods.
It has been reported that seven houses have completely been damaged bear ISBT due to boundary wall collapse earlier this week while another house was damaged near DNGC at Vivek Vihar, two houses were damaged near Lower Rakap Colony and one house has been damaged near 6 kilo Bamboo depot between Itanagar-Naharlagun.
