The last rites of SSB jawan Niraj Chetry, killed inthe encounter that broke out between SSB and Maoists in Jharkhand on Sunday,were performed with full state honours in his native village on Tuesday.
The mortal remains of SSB jawan Niraj Chetry reachedGuwahati wrapped in tricolor. From Guwahati it has been sent to Biswanath CivilHospital. Later as the mortal remains of the martyr reached his village Kaoripatharin Gohpur, the people of the village tried to console his family members.
Chetry joined SSB in 2014. He was supposed to tie the nuptial knot in coming December.
Hundreds of people paid their respects to Niraj on Tuesday.
