The residents of Maligaon Adingiri's Shankardev Nagar had been terrorised on Saturday by a leopard looking for food. It has come to light that a couple has also been attacked during the animal's food hunt.
According to reports, the leopard came looking for food and there was a goats shed in backyard of Dipak and Kamala Hujuri's residence at around 2 am.
The leopard entered the house and attacked the couple. Later, the couple was somehow successful in coming out of the house while leaving the animal locked inside. The injured have been admitted to the Sanjeevani Hospital is undergoing treatment at the ICU.
In the morning the zoo authorities had been informed. The authorities were present at the spot early morning and captured the leopard after tranquilizing it.
