A day after the Congress signaled at forming a stable government in Maharashtra, the Congress Working Committee (CWC) met at party supremo Sonia Gandhi’s home on Thursday. The final talks may take place in Mumbai regarding the alliance.
Maharashtra Congress chief Balasaheb Thorat on Thursday said, “There are many points on which we need clarification if we have to run a government together for five years. Discussions are progressing. We will go to Mumbai today.” Also, following the CWC meeting Congress leader KC Venugopal said, “I think tomorrow we will probably have a decision in Mumbai.”
According to reports, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi was advised to go ahead with the alliance despite her reservations.
