The Guwahati police detained one in connection with Manipuri Basti mysterious blast incident. Identified as Binod Bodo, the mastermind was detained on Sunday.
A child named Divaneshi Devi was playing with the toy car, when it mysteriously exploded. Divaneshi sustained severe injuries on her right hand and the right side of her face.
According to sources, Bodo had "personal grudges" against Divaneshi's uncle and manufactured the explosive toy car with the help of google and youtube. Divaneshi's maternal uncle had debts to repay to the accused Bodo.
Bodo had presented the "bomb-laden toy car" to the girl. He was also associated with the Harisinga train blast, informed sources.
