Mary Kom loses; takes home bronze

MCMary Kom (51kg) won the bronze medal at the Women's World Championships inUlan-Ude, Russia, after losing semi-final match against second seed BusenazCakiroglu.

MaryKom lost the bout 4-1 against the European champion and Cakiroglu will now takeon Russia's Liliya Aetbaeva in the final.

Itmay be mentioned here that this was Mary Kom's eighth world medal.

Meanwhile,Assam daughters Lovlina Borgohain (69kg) and Jamuna Boro (54kg) will look toreach the finals in the AIBA Women's World Championships.
