The entry points includes at Byrnihat, Ratacherra, Bajengdoba, Tikrikilla, Mirjunga and Halidikand. The check points will remain close except for emergency cases like essential commodities and transit vehicles.

In addition the government also decided not to allow parties/organizers to conduct wedding receptions in East Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi, due to the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases.

Tynsong said, "This decision is essential to unburden the health and other frontline workers as well as district administration who have been engaged in this extensive surveillance work".
