Meghalaya Hotels to reopen from July 1

In line with a series of measures taken by the Meghalaya government to ease the pandemic-induced lockdown in the state, it has now decided to open its hotels from July 1, as per sources. However, entry of tourists will be restricted.

Deputy CM of Meghalaya, Prestone Tynsong reportedly informed that the decision to reopen the hotels was taken following inputs received from the DCs. He also informed that the hotels will have to follow certain protocols and SOPs.

It was also informed that the hotels which are presently functioning as designated quarantine centres will continue to do so.
