Few months ago, central government asked personal information related to caste, religion and constituencies from the employees of petrol pumps in India. Now, the government has issued a verbal advisory to the oil pumps. The verbal advisory demands putting up pictures of Prime Minister Modi at their petrol pumps.
Reportedly, the dealers are also being warned with blocking of supplies if they do not comply with the orders.
However, the information hasn’t come as written order; it is being conveyed by area officers who visit the retail outlets.
Earlier, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) have suggested that the dealers put up hoardings with PM Modi’s face, advertising the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
