After reports of irregularities in the appointments into permanent posts in Panchayat and Rural Development (P&RD) Department, the Minister of the department, Naba Kumar Doley denied any such alleged irregularities.
"There were no irregularities in the appointments, as appeared on media," said the Minister on Friday night. He also maintained that the appointments were given only on the basis of merit. Doley also said that the department has not declared results of the 18 examination centers, where irregularities were found during the examination.
Notably, following reports of irregularities in the appointments, Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday has also ordered probe into the controversy.
