The 3 years old child who fell into an open drain in Mumbai (EAST) ON Wednesday night, remains untraceable even after 34 hours of continuous rescue operations.
It is feared that the boy has been washed away, however, BRIHANMUMBAI MUNICIPAL CORPORATION (BMC) NDRF and Mumbai police personnel continue the rescue operation.
The officials are now opening each and every manhole in the drainage lines and are trying to locate the child.
A drone was brought in by the officials but could not be launched due to the heavy flow of water and narrow drainage
The officials are hopeful of finding the child.
It may be mentioned here that a CCTV footage of Wednesday night revealed that a 3 years old boy at Ambedkar Chowk in Mumbai East fell into an open drain at around 10 pm. The incident came to light only after the child’s mother raised an alarm after failing to find him.
