An angry mobbrutally thrashed a man and his mother suspecting her of killing the wife ofthe man who has been beaten by the mob in Shewpur Tea Estate at Rongpuria inTinsukia district of Upper Assam.
The mobattacked one Ajoy and his mother Jamuna after they recovered the body of Ajoy'swife (23) from a septic tank in their house. However, Ajoy's wife Radha TantiGarh went missing since Wednesday.
According topolice official, the angry mob attacked Radha's husband Ajoy after theyrecovered her body from the septic tank. Police said that Ajoy's mother wasalso involved in the incident for which the mob attacked Jamuna injuring themseriously. Both of them later rushed to Tinsukia Civil Hospital where Jamunawas declared dead.
A policeofficial of Tinsukia police station further informed that they have sent thebody of Radha Tanti for post-mortem adding that they had suspected that Radhawas murdered and her body was dumped at the septic tank. Police isinvestigating into the matter.
The officialalso stated that those who are involved in the mob attacked will not be sparedand that no one can take the law into their hands. Police said that they willtake strict action against the culprits.
