Like bygone years, environmental organization Amar Banani organised Gos Bihu at Latashil playground here on Wednesday.
Gos Bihu has been celebrated by Gos Bihu initiator, founder of Amar Bani and Tree Man of India, Bakul Gogoi since 1996 and every year the month-long festival begins at Dubia Gos Bihu Bakari under Biswanath district on the fourth day of the Assamese New Year Bohag and continues till the World Environment Day.
Gos Bihu Mela is being held in various places of Assam andthe Northeast from the month of Bohag and it was successfully concluded in Latashilon Wednesday. Many dignitaries from various filed including ADC Kamrup (M) GunajitKashyap, Pankaj Pathak, Environmentalist Dr. Nabin Saikia took part in the programme.
