In a bizarre incident, a mother threw his daughter in the flowing Dikhow River in Na-katani area under Sivasagar district on Friday. After 24-hour operation, the SDRF recovered the body of the 7-year-old girl.
According to locals, the mother identified as Anupama Das is a mental patient and had attempted to throw her daughter once before. Das, however, said that she was planning to commit suicide by jumping into the river after throwing her daughter into it, but later changed her mind.
