Multiple Accidents Reported
Multiple accidents reported from Assam claiming three lives and several others injured on Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
In an accident at Chapar town in Dhubri district, one man died and two others sustained severe injuries in a head on collision between a trailer and a Bolero pick up van. The deceased, the driver of the Bolero has been identified as Rose Sheikh while the injured persons have been identified as Anuwar Hussain and Azizur Rahman. The accident took place at National Highway-17.
However, the injured persons were rushed to the Chapar Hospital and were later referred to a hospital in Bongaigaon.
In another incident, a tragic road accident occurred at National Highway in Madhav Dham of Badarpur. A person died and 9 others were severely injured in a head-on collision between a Traveller and Maruti Alto. The injured were rushed to Silchar Medical College and Hospital and the deceased has been identified as Manilal Namasudra.
The body of the deceased has been sent to Karimganj Civil Hospital.
The no of the traveler is AS-01-FC-8494 and the Alto Car No is AS-10-F-7975. Badarpur police have recovered the two vehicles.
Another accident has been reported from Sarbhog in Barpeta district where a bike rider has died on spot after he was hit by a vehicle. The accident took place at National Highway over the Bridge of Beki River.
The deceased has been identified as Sanidul Islam of Howly in Barpeta.
