Naga accord: Pema Khandu clears his stand

The Arunachal Pradesh government proclaimed its stand on theNaga peace process issue on Saturday. Arunachal CM Pema Khandu welcomed theCentre's initiative to solve the decades-old Naga problem and categoricallystated that there will be no compromise on the territorial integrity of thestate.

"We will soon call an all-party meeting to discuss the issuebesides taking the view of other stakeholders. We will submit our decision tothe Centre before a framework agreement is signed", Khandu said.

We are clear in our stand and we want that Naga peaceprocess should not affect the state at any cost, he said.

It may be mentioned that the central government has already rejected Naga nationalist separatist group NSCN-IM's demand for unification of Naga inhabited areas in Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.

All the three northeastern states have vehemently opposedit.
