The newly elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi who holds the office for the second term held bilateral meetings with several foreign leaders, dignitaries and ambassadors today after being sworn-in as the PM on Thursday evening.
PM Narendra Modi first met Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena at Hyderabad House. Sirisena attended the swearin-in ceremony of Modi yesterday at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Sirisena congratulated Modi in the bilateral meeting today and reiterated his desire to work together to strengthen relations between the two countries for peace, prosperity and security in the region.
Other than Sirisena, Modi is slated to meet for bilateral meet in Delhi are Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth and Prime Minister of Nepal KP Sharma Oli. Congratulating Modi, Mauritius Prime Minister Jugnauth reiterated his commitment to further strengthening the fraternal and enduring bilateral ties between the two countries in all spheres.
