Nations across world condemn Pulwama attack

After the heinous attack on the Central Police Reserve Force  (CRPF) jawans at Pulwama on Thursday , countries across the world have come together and condemned the incident. United States, Russia and France have stood with India.

Top US lawmakers  Senator Jack Reed extended his condolences and support in a tweet, "I condemn today's terrorist attack in Jammu & Kashmir. I send my heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. The United States stands alongside India in confronting terror and defeating it"

The Russian Embassy also extended their support and said such inhuman acts needs to be responded  with a decisive and collective response, without any double standards.

Ambassadors of France, Germany, Australia, Turkey, Canada and Czech Republic also condemned the attack.

Ron Malka, Israeli ambassador to India condoled the incident and tweeted, "Israel strongly condemns the terror attack in #Pulwama and stands by our Indian friends during this difficult hour. We send our deepest condolences to the CPRF and their families, the people of India and the Indian government following the terrible"

India 's neighbor China condemned the Pulwama terror attack carried out by a Jaish suicide bomber but once again declined to back India's appeal to list the Pakistan-based terror group's chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist by the UN.

However other neighboring countries Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives have extended their support to India and vowed to combat terrorism jointly.

Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Indian Prime Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a telephonic conversation.

Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh Prime Minister  also extended her support to India through the country's High Commission. Hasina also said that Bangladesh  maintains a zero tolerance against terrorism.

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena expressed his grief and  said effective action to prevent such incidents in future.

Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih said, his country will continue to work with India and the international community to combat the menace in the region and the world at large.

Maldivian Foreign Affairs Minister Abdulla Shahid sent a message to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj conveying his sympathy to the government and people of India.

UAE called on the international community to unify efforts in confronting extremism and terrorism that pose a threat to global security and stability.
