NEEPCO Water Supply Intact Pipe Breaks Down

At least four persons were feared trapped inside a pump house after a pipeline carrying water to the 275 MW hydel project in Dima Hasao district of Assam burst on Monday morning.

The pipe supplies 12000 liters of water per second from the NEEPCO reservoir to Kapili hydro-power. The repairing work of the pipe was done last year and after that, no repairing was done resulting in the break-down of the pipe causing injury to many people.

According toreports, the pipe breaks down in the same place where the repairing was done.
