01. COVID-19: SBI's Northeast Head Office Sealed

The State Bank of India's North East Head Office in Guwahati was sealed indefinitely on Thursday after five more employees tested positive for coronavirus. The total number of COVID-19 positive people in the regional headquarters has gone up to 27.

02. COVID-19 Guwahati: Plasma Therapy Launched In GMCH

In a major development to combat the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, plasma therapy was launched and implemented from Thursday in Guwahati. Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, launched the plasma therapy facility at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) COVID-19 Hospital.

03. Guwahati: Rapid Antigen Test To Begin Today In Pandu, Maligaon

The rapid antigen antibodies test to detect coronavirus (COVID-19) will be held at Pandu and Maligaon in Guwahati from Friday morning onwards. The health department officials will collect the SWAB samples of residents in both areas. The test is not restricted to ward-wise.

04.India, UAE To Operate Repatriation Flights Soon

India and the UAE have agreed to allow their airlines to carry eligible passengers on their charter flights between the two countries to be operated from July 12 to July 26, the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

05. ICSE, ISC 2020: CISCE To Declare Class 10th And 12th Results Today

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CICSE) will declare the class 10, 12 board exam results on Friday at 3 pm. The board earlier announced the assessment scheme for pending class 10 and 12 exams and the CISCE Board earlier announced a reduction of up to 25% in syllabus for classes 10 and 12 board exams in 2021.

08. Nepal Bans Broadcasting Of Indian News Channels Except DD

Cable television operators in Nepal have switched off broadcasting signals for all Indian news channels, except Doordarshan. An official order is yet to be issued in connection with the ban. Former Deputy Prime Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha said, "Baseless propaganda by Indian media against the Nepal government and our PM" should sto, adding, "It has crossed all limits. This is getting too much".

09. Asia Cup Likely To Be Held In June 2021

Asia Cup 2020 is cancelled, the tournament's governing body confirmed on Thursday, The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is planning to host the tournament in June 2021. The T20 tournament was to be played in Sri Lanka in September.

10. RIL-BP Launch Fuel And Mobility Joint Venture

Reliance Industries and BP India announced the start of new Indian fuels and mobility joint venture, Reliance BP Mobility Limited (RBML). The  new joint venture company will be owned 51% by RIL and the remainder by BP. BP will pay about ₹7,000 crore for a 49% stake in its existing petrol pumps and aviation turbine fuel network.

12. Kerala Gold Smuggling Scandal To Be Probed By NIA

The case involving the smuggling of 30 kg gold in Kerala will be taken over by the National Investigation Agency, the Union Home Ministry declared saying the "organised smuggling operation may have serious implications for national security".

Indian Army ordered its personnel to delete 89 apps from their smartphones including Facebook, TikTok, Tinder, PUBG, Snapchat, and Instagram to avoid leakage of information.

14. 7-Day Lockdown In West Bengal

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the new lockdown that will come into force from 5 pm today across containment zones of the state. The lockdown will be imposed for seven days and extended if necessary.

15. New Zealand Denies Offering To Host IPL 2020

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has denied reports that it has offered to host the now-postponed Indian Premier League 2020, terming them as "inaccurate"./ NZC spokesperson Richard Boock said the cricket board has not expressed its interest to host the IPL.
