On the upcoming occasion of Eid-ul-Zuha to be observed August 1 amid the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the Kamrup Metropolitan district administration has permitted five worshippers to offer namaz maintaining social distancing norms in Mosques and Idgahs.

The Nagaland government on Thursday decided to extend the ongoing lockdown measures in the state by a month till August 31 in view of the rising cases of coronavirus in the state, a senior minister said.

Three security personnel of the Assam Rifles unit on Thursday died and four others were severely injured in an explosion and subsequent firing by terrorists in the Chandel district of Manipur, bordering Myanmar. According to reports, the terrorists were affiliated to the local group People's Liberation Army.

She was admitted to the private facility in Delhi at 7 pm for "routine tests and investigations", the hospital said in a health bulletin."Her condition is currently stable," Dr. D S Rana, the chairman of the Board of Management of the hospital, was quoted as saying in the bulletin.

11. Ayodhya: Priests, Cops At Ram Temple Test COVID-19 +

A junior priest at the Ram temple in Ayodhya has been found positive for coronavirus. Pradeep Das, who is a pupil of the head priest Acharya Satyendra Das at Ram temple, has been put on home isolation following the test. A total of four priests are given charge of taking care of the Ram temple. Das, who tested positive, is one of them. On the other hand, at least 16 police personnel on duty at the temple have also tested positive for Covid-19, following which all of them have been asked to isolate at home.

Guinness World Records on Thursday honoured Indian math genius Shakuntala Devi with the long overdue record title for "fastest human computation", four decades after she achieved the feat. The fastest human computation is 28 seconds and was achieved by Shakuntala Devi by successfully multiplying two randomly selected 13-digit numbers, at Imperial College London, UK, on June 18, 1980.
