01. Patients In Home Isolation To Get Oximeters, Other Facilities: Himanta

In a significant development, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday announced that coronavirus infected patients in home isolation will be provided with a pulse oximeter and first-line supportive medicine for free in Guwahati. Provisions of tele-medicine service have also been activated for the patients.

02. Kerala: 16 Bodies Recovered From Landslide Site, Death Toll Touches 42

The massive landslide that occurred in Kerala's Idukki on Friday pushed the death toll to 42 after 16 more bodies were found from the debris by Sunday noon. According to officials, 78 people were staying at the spot where the tragedy occurred. While 12 were rescued, 42 bodies were found. The landslide has destroyed over 20 houses of the tea estate workers.

03. COVID-19 Nagaland: 1226 Armed, Paramilitary Personnel Infected So Far

Out of the 2781 positive cases reported in Nagaland so far, 1226 infected with the disease are armed and paramilitary forces personnel, a health department official stated. Nagaland on Sunday registered 93 new cases of coronavirus infection on Sunday, including 42 armed forces personnel, pushing the state's active cases tally to 1866.

In the wake of the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, Assam's theatre professionals have sought Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to support them with financial assistance as the community is experiencing major hardships. A delegation of Professional Theatre Workers, Assam has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister on Saturday in this regard requesting him to extend support to them.

05. Rajasthan: 11 Pak Migrants Found Dead

A Pakistan Hindu migrant's family comprising eleven members were found dead at a farm in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan on Sunday, police said to news agency PTI. All the family members were Hindu migrants from Pakistan from the Bhil community and had been living on the farm in the village, which they had hired for farming.

Few hours after BJP leader Manoj Tiwari shared a tweet stating Home Minister Amit Shah has tested negative for coronavirus, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a clarification informing no test has been conducted so far.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched a new Central Sector Scheme of financing facility under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund of Rs. 1 Lakh Crore, an official statement said. The scheme will support farmers, PACS, FPOs, Agri-entrepreneurs, etc. in building community farming assets and post-harvest agriculture infrastructure.
