Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) Chief Akhil Gogoi on Wednesday raised question as why the police have not taken any action against the Supari syndicate that is going on in the state.
Addressing a press conference in Guwahati, KMSS chief said that the city police have not yet taken any action against the supari syndicate. “The police have not taken any action against the four supari mafia and also the trucks that were being seized from Jalukbari have been kept in ISBT but till date no action has been taken against it,” claimed Akhil.
He further stated that the supari syndicate should be investigated through National Investigation Agency (NIA).
The KMSS Chief further stated that the police have not yet filed a suo moto case against the supari mafia and that they have only filed a case in general diary entry.
Gogoi further raised many questions as why the Chief Minister and Finance Minister are silent over the issue, why the police have not yet seen the supari truck. “The silence of government and police clearly indicates that they are involved with the syndicate that is going on in the state,” said Akhil.
KMSS have also submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah seeking immediate investigation of the supari syndicate.
Akhil earlier alleged that many Minister, MLAs and SPs are involved with the supari syndicate and said that they will disclose the names of the persons in the near future.
Speaking about NRC, Akhil said that the BJP is trying to create chaos regarding NRC and also a section of Muslim community is in a state to create communal riot.
