Clearing the air about the speculations going around the cancellation of the remaining exams of CBSE Class 10, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) said that no further examinations will be conducted for Class 10. It categorically stated that students will not be able to appear for the examinations even if they want to take the exam.
The announcement seems to have come in the background of several media outlets allegedly reporting that students of CBSE Class 10, if unsatisfied, may take the exams. HRD Ministry also informed that the result declared by the board based on the assessment will be considered final.
The Ministry tweeted, “Few media platforms are wrongly reporting that Class X students may opt for taking exams, if unsatisfied. It is to clarify that NO further examination will be conducted for students in class X & the result declared by CBSE on the basis of the assessment scheme will be treated as final.”
A notification attached to the tweet read, “However, for Class 12 students, CBSE will conduct an optional examination in the subjects whose examinations were scheduled to be conducted from July 1 to July 15, 2020, as soon as conditions are conducive….”
