Congress MLA Nurul Huda has commenting on the NRC claims andobjections hearing claimed that summoning people for the hearing to otherplaces is nothing but a way to harass people.
Addressing a press meet at the MLA Hostel in Dispur, the MLAquestioned that even after having NRC Seva Kendras in almost every area, whatis the logic behind summoning people to other places.
Huda has also alleged that it is a conspiracy to stop peoplefrom attending the hearing.
Stating negligence on the part of the people involved in NRCupdation process, the Congress leader has said that people who had filled inthe claims-objections do not remain present during the hearing, moreover, theaccused presents self in the hearing whereas the complainant remains absent. Itis the duty of the NRC officials to look into those matter, he added.
Huda has urged the NRC coordinator to stop harassing commonpeople.Further, the MLA claimed that there is acompetition going on between officials, as to who can cancel out more number ofpeople from the list.
