The Dibrugarh Police on Saturday carried a search operation and apprehended a cadre of Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN). As per reports, the operation was carried out by the Dibrugarh Police based on a tip-off.
TheNSCN cadre has been identified as Khrempai Wangsho, who hails from ArunachalPradesh. The police seized Rs. 15 lakh in cash and a vehicle (AS-04-1803) from the NSCN cadre. The driver of the vehicle wasalso detained along with Wangsho.
"Basedon a specific input received from local sources regarding movement of a NSCN workerin Dibugarh town, we launched an operation and apprehended the over-groundcadre," informed a police official.
Itmay be mentioned here that on Thursday the Dibrugarh Police had recovered twoAK-47 rifles from the possession of two women from Arunachal Pradesh.
