OIL’s ‘Super 30’ Program Posts Remarkable Success Rate

The Oil India Limited (OIL) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative 'Super 30' Program, had enrolled 169 students across six centres. All of the students have reportedly cracked JEE Mains 2020-21.

The six centres where the initiative was undertaken were Guwahati, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Nagaon, Itanagar and Jodhpur. The 'Super 30' program has posted remarkable success rate as all of the enrolled students cracked JEE Mains. Of them, 101 students have also cracked JEE Advance 2020-21 for admission into IITs, NITs and other top engineering and medical institutes in the country.

This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the OIL Super 30 project of empowering brilliant minds of underprivileged sections of the society. An interactive session of the students with Sushil Chandra Mishra, CMD, OIL, Shri Pankaj Kumar Goswami, Director (Operations), Prasanta Borkakoty, RCE and other officials of OIL was organized on the occasion.

 Mr. Mishra congratulated the students on their achievement during the session. He also extolled the role of CSRL as a project implementing partner for inspiring the students to their achievement.

The OIL Super 30 project focuses on providing 11months of completely free residential coaching in both Engineering and Medial fields to meritorious students from the underprivileged sections of the society.

An official  statement said "the engineering batch of 2019-20, a total of 170 students were enrolled out of which 164 students secured admissions in various engineering colleges making it a 96% success rate across six centres. "64 students have exclusively secured admissions in IITs (A group engineering colleges), 90 students in NITs (B category engineering colleges) and rest 10 students in other state engineering colleges. Whereas, in the medical batch of 2019-20, a total of 30 students were enrolled out of which 29 students qualified in NEET. Thereafter in the first counselling of NEET, 21 students have secured admission in MBBS colleges & one student got admission in AIIMS Guwahati".

It also added "Since the inception of the OIL super 30 program in 2010-11, Oil India Limited has supported total 1335 nos. of students in engineering entrance examinations & out of which 1060 students have successfully secured admissions into various engineering colleges (admissions for 169 nos. of students from the batch of 2020-21 is under process). Also till date, a total of 301 nos. of students have exclusively got admissions in various IITs."
