One died,while more than 28 people suffered injuries after a dumper collided with a busin Khanapara area in Guwahati on Sunday night.
The deceasedhas been identified as Albert Nangrom, who hails from 8th Mile area in thecity. He was admitted in the GNRC hospital.
According to reports, the dumper loaded with hot bitumen ladden stones used for repairing of the road fell over the bus. The accident took place in Ganesh mandir area.
Reports also suggested that the people were travelling from Sontoli area under Kamrup to Golaghat for the NRC. More than 20,000 people have been given notices by the NRC authorities for re-verification and last night saw the movement of thousand of peoples to all the verification centre.
Injured, Including 10 grievously wounded, have been admitted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and GNRC hospital.
