PM leaves for Arunachal Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Arunachal Pradesh from Guwahati on Saturday morning. He will inaugurate as well as lay foundation stones of various projects in the State.

He is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of Hollongi airport near Itanagar. Besides inaugurating a 110 MW hydro electric project, he will also inaugurate a retrofitted airport at Tezu in Lohit district.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate Arun Prabha channel of Doordarshan and 50 health and wellness centres in the State. PM Modi will also declare 100% household electrification the State. Narendra Modi will also lay the foundation stone of a Film and Television Institute, near Itanagar and he will lay the foundation stone Sella Tunnel and its approach road in Tawang district.

Meanwhile, several organisations in Arunachal Pradesh have been protesting PM Narendra Modi's visit to the State amidst the ongoing objection to the much-debated Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.

Later PM Modi will return back to Guwahati, where he will inaugurate as well as lay foundation stones several projects.
