Celebrated Assamese poet Nilim Kumar has been granted interim bail by the Gauhati High Court on Thursday.
A First Information Report (FIR), was registered against Kumar at the Sonari police station by one Kamal Jyoti Hazarika.
The poet has been accused of writing objectionable verses in the poem "Akhon Akhusto City Bus" humiliating the Assamese community and society's sentiments.
