In asensational incident, a group of people on Thursday attacked a team of police,who have visited a house to carry out a search operation against the accusedrelated to a dowry case in Dampur under Hajo area.
Accordingto reports, the team of police reached one Khairul's house in search of him,when the family members have attacked the police team. They even attacked awoman police constable and torn one of the policeman's uniform.
Thepolice team was investigating a case registered by Khairul's wife against him.She has alleged that Khairul and his family had demanded dowry from her.
