President Ram Nath Kovind arrived on a three-day visit to Bolivia on Friday, the first high-level visit to the Latin American country since the establishment of diplomatic ties.
Kovind will hold restricted and delegation-level talks with Bolivian President Morales during the visit.
The arrival of president Kovind in Bolivia marks the beginning of a new historical chapter in the bilateral relations between the two countries.
President Kovind, accompanied by his wife, Savita Kovind and a delegation of around 100 ministerial officials, inspected the Guard of Honour during a ceremonial welcome at the airport.He was also presented with the key of the city of Santa Cruz.
He will also participate in an India-Bolivia business meet,address university students, and interact with Indian community members during his stay in the country.
On March 30, he will head to Chile where he will hold talks with the restricted and delegation-level format with Chilean counterpart Sebastian Pinera.
