Thelocals and members of All Assam Tea Tribes Students' Association (AATTSA) on Thursdaystaged Dharna in front of the office of Simplex Infrastructures Ltd. and laterlocked the office at Amoni area under Nagaon district.
Theprotesters alleged that the company has harassed the labourers and damagedseveral roads in the area. "The concernedauthorities should immediately take action against the company as it has beenplaying with the lives of innocent labourers," said a protester.
Following a heated situation, the employees, as well as officers of the Simplex company, have left the office premises. Later the protesters locked the office.
