Members of many organisations including Bir Lachit Sena and Scheduled Caste Students Union staged a fierce protest in Nazira today over an opening being developed in the Dikhow bridge.
The agitators blocked a road, and demanded the refurbishment of the said bridge as well as that of the historic Dhudor Ali Road.
The road blockade reportedly led to a major traffic snarl.
