Python rescued from Taj Mahal

Causing panic among the tourists, a massive Indian Rock Python was spotted in the Taj Mahal parking lot on Saturday. It was first noticed by some labourers who narrowly missed stepping on it.

Immediately a curious crowd formed around the snake and police officials contacted the Wildlife authorities, who rescued the 9-foot-long reptile. The python was released into a suitable habitat after a thorough examination, said Wildlife authorities.

“We believe that the python had wandered out of the Taj Nature Walk green belt, which is home to a variety of wildlife species,” said a wildlife expert.
