Rajnath Singh leaves for a three day visit to Bangladesh

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has embarked on a three day journey to Bangladesh on Friday. The visit has been scheduled from July 13 to July 15.

Rajnath Singh took to twitter before leaving and said, "Looking forward to strengthen the bilateral relations between both the countries on the basis of friendship and trust."

As per reports, the Home Minister will meet with his Bangladeshi counterpart to hold discussions on issues, which affect both the countries, like security, border management, cooperation in countering illegal activities and travel arrangements.

Singh is also scheduled to meet the Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and inaugurate a new cutting edge,  integrated Indian Visa Application Centre in Dhaka.

The Home Minister will also visit Rajshahi on July 14 to inaugurate the Bangladesh-India Friendship Building at the Bangladesh Police Academy, Sardah.

The Minister, accompanied by some of the top officials of the Home Ministry, will also co-chair the 6th meeting of the India-Bangladesh Home Minister Level Talks.

The Rohingya issue is also expected to be a topic of conversation during the visit.
