The official venue for holding protests in Guwahati has been shifted from Dighalipukhuri to Sachal. The District Administration undertook the decision after it was directed by the High Court. The venue has been set at Sachal near Tennis Club.
The High Court took the decision after a PIL was filed regarding the massive traffic jam's and problems face by the commuters due to the protests at Dighalipukhuri.
The Court directed the District Administration to chance the venue from Dighalipukhuri to some other place after which the Kamrup Metropolitan District Admistration has fixed Sachal as the official venue for holding protests in Guwahati.
