Sankaradeva Sangha boycotts family for running piggery

If you want to open a broiler farm or a piggery, to earn a dignified livelihood and be a successful entrepreneur, make sure that you are not a Srimanta Sankaradeva Sangha member.

Surprise? Do not be. If you are a Srimanta Sankaradeva Sangha member and if you want to open broiler and piggery farm, there is every possibility that Sangha may ostracize you from the society for doing these two “non-dignified” jobs.

A shocking such incident has come into the light in Biswanath Chariali, where a small entrepreneur was outcast from the society. The Afrakhat unit of the Srimanta Sankaradeva Sangha banned the family of Balendra Nath from attending any kind of social functions for running a broiler farm and a piggery business at their home in Ghahigaon area under Biswanath district.

As per a notification of the Afrakhat unit of the Sangha, a decision was taken by the Madhya Chaiduar Anchalik Branch to bar the members of the Sangha, who runs broiler farm or a piggery in their houses.

Meanwhile, the decision of the Srimanta Sankaradeva Sangha received widespread criticisms on social media platforms.
