Former Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi lambasted present Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday in a press conference at his government residence and said that Sonowal is a fake 'Jatiya Nayak'(national hero) and is a puppet Chief Minister of the center ruled Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP).
Calling Sonowal a spineless Chief Minister, Gogoi lashed out at BJP recalling the times when they announced to drive out the Bangladeshi's out of the state but now have put red carpet to welcome them by implementing the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016.
Gogoi also took a jibe at state Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and said that both Sonowal and Himanta wants to bring unrest in Assam again.
Gogoi expressed his vexation against Sarbananda Sonowal and Himanta Biswa Sarma and the duo not care about the state and sentiments of the indigenous people. Assam Gana Parishad (AGP) and All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) will also have to face massive dire straits in the upcoming elections, added Gogoi.
Gogoi also said that the cabinet's decision of forming a High Level Committee on the implementation clause 6 of Assam Accord is useless.
