Good news for young women and girls as you can avail scholarships. A scholarship agent keeping the motto as" Spread kindness with KIND SCHOLARSHIP FOR YOUNG WOMEN and help young girls in nation building" invites applicants to avail their scholarship.
The report of International Labour Organization says India's rank hasn't improved in the global index of women workforce, with only 27% contributing to the national GDP. A wide variety of economic and social factors including economic growth, increasing educational attainment, falling fertility rates and social norms are the driving factors to this unwanted dip. In addition to these issues, social norms determining the role of women in the public domain continue to affect outcomes in our country even in 2019.
With poor performance of our national authorities at reforms and policy making, corporates and social bodies have taken the responsibility of stabilizing and re-forming the work culture. The organizations are challenging the biggest and the foremost roadblock of minimum educational attainment, which gets directly affected due to our country's patriarchal mindset creating a domino effect to this global shame.
While it is difficult and requires patience to bring the social and behavioural change, companies and individuals are working around educating women by providing them financial assistance. Kind Scholarship for Young Women is one such initiative to give young women the opportunity to build a foundation and become a part of nation building.
The scholarship invites applications from girl students in class 9 and above, who are facing financial constraints in their pursuit to continue their education. As part of the program, need-based scholarship assistance is provided to eligible meritorious candidates. The scholarship is supported by individuals & working professionals PAN India. Any individual can contribute to this scholarships corpus to enlarge the fund and support a greater number of scholars.
To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must:
Be an Indian girl student
Be studying at any study level – School (Class 9 to 12); Graduation/ Post-graduation; ITI/Polytechnic/Vocational & Professional Courses (CA, CS etc.)
Annual household income must be less than INR 4 Lakh
Must have cleared the previous examination with at least 60% marks
Note: Preference will be given to candidates with a single parent, orphan girls, and wards of martyred members of Indian Armed Forces.
Scholarship awards are as below:
For class 9 & 10 students: INR 6,000 per year
For Class 11 & 12 students: INR 12,000 per year
For Graduation /Post Graduation & Others: INR 18,000 per year
The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of a candidate's need, merit and interview performance.
