Security tightens ahead PM’s Cachar visit

Security has been tightened across Cachar district ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Silchar on January 4 during which he is scheduled to address a public rally.

According to Cachar SP Rakesh Roushan, anti-sabotage checkings are underway to ensure absolute security during PM’s address.

“Additional Director General of Police Mukesh Agarwal is here to monitor the proceedings and elaborate security arrangements are being taken for all important meetings of the Prime Minister in a safe environment”, said the SP.

According to the party, the Prime Minister’s forthcoming visit will set the tone for the party’s preparations for Silchar and Karimganj seats ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
